Discussing her conversion, Khadijah
Rivera, a Puerto Rican ex-Roman Catholic, wrote: “Reverting to Islam would be complicated by my childhood training that Jesus Christ was my savior and salvation. To pray to anyone but him would be blasphemy. I therefore studied several religions when I left my church and its rigid teachings.

(MIAMI, FL, 7/2/09) – The south Florida chapter
of the Council on American-Islamic Relations
(CAIR-Miami) today called on the FBI to
investigate a possible bias motive for vandalism at mosque in that state.
Vandals smashed two windows of the Islamic School
of Miami this past weekend but the vandalism was
only discovered on Tuesday because the windows
were in a storage area. Six months ago, the same
mosque’s windows were shattered and its golden
dome damaged by a hail of gunfire. In 2005, a
large rock was used shatter the door of the
mosque. In 2004, the mosque’s sign was defaced with a Nazi swastika.

The counties' transit system buses will display large, beautiful and colorful banners about Islam on the side of 120 buses, inviting fellow Americans to call in and log on to a website to find the real truth about Islam and Muslims.
